Example: Nordhavn Engros A/S
An invented wholesaler with about DKK 96 million in revenue. The page shows the kind of dashboard a client is handed.
The company does not exist, and no figure comes from a real client. Every figure is computed from the same dataset, so they agree with each other.
Bars are revenue per month. The line is gross margin on the right axis. The dip in July is the summer holiday.
Stock that has stood for over 90 days ties up capital. That is the last bar.
Total outstanding, split by how long it has been overdue.
The share of orders delivered on the promised date. The trend is up, but it still misses the target.
The bar is the customer gross margin. The dashed line is the average for the whole business.
What the numbers say
Stock worth DKK 2.8m has sat on the shelf for more than 90 days. That is 15 % of inventory value, and it is money that could be in the bank instead.
Bygma Syd A/S and Jysk Teknik ApS account for 22 % of revenue, but trade −3.9 pp below the average. Bringing those two up to the average is DKK 0.8m more on the bottom line.
Customers take 54 days to pay on average, and DKK 0.6m has been overdue for more than two months. That is fixed by calling the customers.
What you are looking at
Four or five figures that run the business, laid out so you can see which of them is going wrong. The page ends with three sentences on what the figures say.
Revenue is growing, the margin has improved slightly and inventory is down. Even so, DKK 2.8 million of stock has not moved in three months, and the two largest customers trade below the average. In a spreadsheet those two lines would be hard to spot.
On your own figures the key figures would be different. A manufacturer would rather see yield and changeover time than receivables. That is what the first twenty minutes are spent finding out.
- The period can be changed at the top, and the key figures are recomputed
- Gross margin is weighted by revenue, not an average of months
- The page loads nothing from elsewhere and sets no cookies
