Deviations recorded at the line and followed to closure

SES Quality replaces the paper deviation form and the shared spreadsheet. The inspector records on a phone or tablet, the person responsible gets an alert straight away, and afterwards you can see who closed the case, and when.

How it works

Five steps, from finding to closed case.

  1. Record

The inspector picks the deviation from your catalogue, enters the quantity and takes a photo. Six steps, always in the same order.

  2. Alert

If the deviation has a severity you have marked as critical, the person responsible for the line is told straight away.

  3. Acknowledge

Delivered, seen and acknowledged are recorded separately. If nobody acknowledges within your deadline, the alert goes on to an administrator.

  4. Act

A corrective action with an owner, a deadline and a root cause. Its status goes from open to in progress to done.

  5. Close

When the last action is done, the alert closes. The name and time are kept in the history.

What you get

Recording in under 30 seconds

Order, category, deviation, quantity, photo and action. Large buttons and one choice per screen. The operator signs in with a PIN at the start of the shift instead of a password.

Works without a network

The record is saved on the device and sent when the connection returns. The device gives each record its own id, so it cannot arrive twice.

Overview

A Pareto of deviation types, median time to acknowledge and to close, and deviations by line, product and severity over 7, 30 or 90 days.

Suggestions from your own history

When a deviation is recorded, the actions most often used against the same type are suggested. Recent actions count for more, and the calculation can be checked by hand.

Audit trail

A correction is saved as a new version, and the original can still be seen. The database refuses changes to the audit trail, including from SES Group. The export of a period supports your documentation for ISO 9001, clauses 8.7 and 10.2.

Your codes and catalogues

Your own severity codes such as A/K/M, your own deviation catalogue and your own lines, imported from a spreadsheet. The import shows every error by row and column before anything is saved.

Optional modules

Can be switched on once the core is running. The price is agreed in the quote.

Compliance

Measuring equipment with calibration intervals, competences with expiry dates and document control with sign-off on each revision. An audit pack gathers it all as at a chosen date.

Production performance

One press when the line stops and one when it runs again. Stop causes, Pareto and OEE. OEE is only shown when the records cover enough of the time to support the figure.

Data and IT

What your IT department will ask. A longer description comes with the quote.

Questions

Do we need to buy new tablets?

No. SES Quality runs in the browser on the phones and tablets you have. If you want a recommendation for a rugged model, you get one.

What happens if the network is down?

The inspector can record as normal. The record stays on the device and is sent when the connection returns. The alert goes out when the record reaches the server.

Can we see it with our own deviations?

Yes. Send your deviation catalogue as a spreadsheet before the demo, and it is imported so the demo runs on your own types and codes.

Who owns the data?

You do. An administrator can export every record at any time. If you stop, everything is handed over in open formats and then deleted.

What if SES Group closes?

The system is built on PostgreSQL and Docker and can be installed on your own server by following an operations guide. You can always export your data.

A demo takes 30 minutes, at your site or online. Send the deviation catalogue in advance if you can.
